Here are some ways to protect your site from theft...

Scripts below need to be placed in the HEAD section of your site.

No Right-Click

No Right-Click (No Alert)

Disable ALL Clicks

Disable Image Toolbar
(This takes out the save option on images for users with XP)

Disable Select Text
(This makes it so users can't highlight and copy your content)

Thanks DynamicDrive for the script above.

Tips:
-List Terms/Rules of your site so visitors are clear of what is allowed at your site.
-Rename the folders your images are in periodicly so that Direct Linked images no longer work.
-If you find a site who has direct linked from you, you can make a new image (that warns them not to direct link) and upload it and rename it to the same name as the direct linked image. Be sure to upload it to the same folder the original image was in and don't forget to change the name of the original file. This will show the person who direct linked that you are in charge of images hosted by you.
-If you want a sure fire way to get the site shut down that is direct linking you, replace the graphic with an image that is against their host's Terms Of Service. This will get the site shut down faster then anything else. However I would not recommend this but it works.
-If you make graphics put your initials, name or site name somewhere in the image so in the event of theft it is clear that it is yours. You can also put your name really small close to the same color as the image so you can only see it when you zoom in on it. Most thieves just take and don't realize this.
