Here are a lot of the questions I receive, and answers to them.
What is Direct Linking?
Direct Linking is also known as hotlinking. It is bandwidth theft and it is illegal. It is when you right click on something and use the url to the image instead of right clicking and hitting save to your computer.
You may use the code for the image but ONLY if the code is provided under the graphic and you MUST NOT edit that code. If a code is not provided under the graphics always right click and hit "Save Image As" and save it to your own computer.
Will you make me something?
No. Not unless it is something from the order section. With over 10,000 hits a day I do not have time to do requests.
If you send me an email for a request for something (unless it is from the order section) it will be ignored. I have stated many times I do not take requests yet people still email me thinking I will. I hate to say no but I just dont have the time.
Once in awhile in the forum or my Xanga I will take requests for a short time. If I get bored I will make a post in the request section of the forum or a post in my Xanga and take requests for just about any graphic. The more active the forum is the better chance you'll see me there taking requests. So join today!
Will you make me a layout?
NO. I rarely do this for even my best friends. Layouts take too long to make to take requests. In the near future I will have a section on my site you can get layouts from.
I tried to contact you, Why didn't you respond?
I get dozens of emails a day, Im sorry I just dont have time to respond to them all. If it is very important you most likely will get a responce.
Another thing I don't respond to emails dAt eR tYpEd l1k d1Z, I don't even read them.
I asked you to visit my site, why didnt you?
You wouldnt believe the ammount of people who email me, sign my guestbook, tagboard, and comments with this request. I am on a dial up internet connection and I just dont have the time to go through that many sites. Most of which take forever to load.
How do you make a Web Site like yours?
I really don't know how to answer this but most of it is creativity, if you don't have it I cant explain it. Check into learning HTML. A good HTML help site is www.lissaexplains.com
Also get a graphics program and practice making things. That's how I did it when I started. I would recommend Paint Shop Pro7, it takes a little learning though.
Can I have your layout?
NO. Not even to edit! This is something I make for my site ONLY and will not give it away at anytime. If you have seen my layout on another site please report it to me by filling out the form on the "Report" page.
Can I use your pixels in graphics I give to people on my site?
No. This includes cursors, fireworks, and anything else. Even if you "Edit" my pixels it is still NOT OKAY.
With that said...
Can I edit your pixels or graphics?
As long as they are ONLY used on your site and YOU DO NOT give them away. Even if they are made into other things (See above question) such as cursors or other things you distribute on your site you may NOT give them away. You still must give me credit for them if they are used on your site even if you edited them the original work is still mine.
Can I give away graphics that I have made with your makers?
A link back is required on the same page you place them and you must require that people do not give them away and that they link back to you also.
When you use the dollmakers you may use the dollz you make with it however you wish, except for the handrawn ones which require a link back on the same page you place them on.
Can I give people your graphics or give them away on my site?
NO. This is a big no no. My graphics are for decorating YOUR site only! When you give away my graphics it is stealing all my hard work. Instead of giving them away just give them a link to my site (NOT the image url) and they can get it themselves. My graphics require a Link Back, meaning if you use a graphic you must provide a link back to my site where it is easily visable.
I tried using one of your Clocks/Snow Effects/Java Scripts and they did not work, Why?
You have to make sure the page you are adding them to allows the use of Java Scripts. Some sites such as Xanga.com DO NOT allow the use of such codes. Most website hosts do however. Some people have reported getting an error in the code when they try and use it, they work fine for me and many others so I think that problem is in your browser.
Why won't the cursors work for me?
Some browsers don't support image cursors, therefor they will not be displayed. If you use a cursor code on your site people with supporting browsers will be able to see it even if you can't.
Most current browsers however support the use of such cursors.
Can I put one of your dollmakers on my site?
No. I am willing to give away certain ones but only if my link is placed on the maker and the entire maker is uploaded to your site and NONE of the images in the maker are direct linked. However, you MUST contact me for permission for this with the address to the website you want to put it on and which one you would like me to allow you to download. Not everyone will recieve permission to put them on their site and I will NEVER under any circumstances allow you to direct link any maker in whole or in part.
How do you make music codes?
If you aren't good with HTML learn that for starters and you will understand them better. Download a song you want in Real Player or Windows Media format and upload it to your server. Take the song URL and put it in a background music embed code. Please don't email me regarding Music Codes, I no longer do them anymore. I am not a good teacher, I learn things by trying them myself and Music Codes are hard to explain to someone who has no idea what HTML is.
Will you link me?
Look under the links in the small frame to your left there will be a link that says "Add Your Link". Also you may check out the Advertising page if you are looking to get a larger ammount of hits from this site. However the Advertising page has a fee.
Where do you get the stuff on your site? I make everything here. Most of it is made by me pixel by pixel! Some of it is edited cartoons such as the glitter images, and some of the dollz are made in drag and drop doll makers and then edited in PSP.
Some graphics may contain charicters from Disney, Sanrio, Garfield, Carebears, or Nickelodeon. They are all copyrighted to their prospective owner and are used here for private use only. All of these however are on graphics I have made, so they still require a link back to this site.
Where do I get a tag-board like the one on your main page?
Its from cbox.co.za and it costs 10 dollars for a year. Its one of the best ones out there.
Why does it say I am Banned when I try to sign the Tagboard/Guestbook/Comments?
There is alot of reasons why you could be banned. The #1 reason people are banned on the Tagboard is excessive chatting. A few other common reasons is you have used vulgar language, spammed, harassed other posters, been excessivly rude, or in SOME cases it is a mistake. In the case of a mistake it is likely you are using AOL or another ISP that recycles IP addresses. If you think you were banned by mistake email me and let me know and I will unban you if I find it to be a mistake.
Why was my post deleted from the Tagboard/Guestbook/Comments?
I delete all posts that are not related to this site. If It was vulgar, rude, harassing, chatting, or blank it will be deleted right away. Posts that contain only advertising to you site are also deleted.
What programs do you use to make your graphics?
I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop, and MSPaint.
Why Dont You have more tutorials?
I really am horrible at explaining how to do things. Most of what I know I learned from "playing" around with stuff. I would suggest to anyone who needs a tutorial to just experiment with things.
Will you teach me how to make Graphics and/or websites?
See Above Answer. I get tons of emails a day asking this, I just do not have the time to explain it to people. Go to google and type in what you are trying to learn and I am sure you will find something that can explain it better than I can.
Will you host me?
Sorry but No. With the large amount of traffic this site gets, I dont have the bandwidth to spare.
